This idea first came to me over the course of my masters studies. I then developed it further and implemented a full workshop series focused on skills sharing between local and newcomer tailors in order to create lasting community and entrepreneurial ties. This project came to fruition in early 2018, and was extremely well-received by the participants.

This project was inspired by a Social Hackathon aimed at access to labour markets. With this event I lead a team of coders and North African refugees in the planning and initial development of a database tool designed to increase cooperation amongst the various services providers serving migrants in the Brussels region and which would build off of algorithmic translation as much as possible to enhance the amount of information available to migrants as well.  

 
 
 

Visitor’s Day: Hearts Together for Haiti

I was engaged to support a small media company and a Canadian charity organization that works with community development in Deppe, Haiti. We went twice, the second time to shoot an update to the first short film. I assisted in story construction, set up equipment, prepared interviewees, maintained procedural documents, operated the second camera, and provided French interpretation.
